One of our favs! Traditionally used as a modulator, to balance blood sugar, or to detoxify blood and liver. Chaga is a potent mushroom that can be drunk as-is in infusions or used as bases for other teas, coffees, broths and elixirs. Our Chaga is sustainably wild harvested in Eastern Canada.

Our Chaga chunks are sustainably harvested taking care not to puncture the bark of the birch trees the chaga grows onto. Also, 30% of the chaga is left unharvested to ensure sustainable growth and balanced renewal of the ecosystem.

Making your Chaga Tea

Chaga has been used as a traditional medicine for centuries by indigenous people in Russia, Europe, Asia, and North America. The tea can be prepared by simmering the mushroom in water for one hour or more. This will ensure you get most of the benefits of the chaga in your cup! You can make a batch of chaga and store it in the fridge for up to 1 week so you can drink your daily dose as a cold tea. Then dry your chunks and save them for another batch later!

Reuse & Storage: You can reuse the chunks up to 3 times or until they stop coloring the water dark brown. To reuse, simply place them on à plate to air dry after use then store in à container. Make sure it is completely dry otherwise mold may grow on the chaga. Store in a cool, dark, dry place.

Safety: It is recommended that you consult your healthcare practitioner before using any natural products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
